Deposits are constantly accumulating on the heat transfer surfaces of heat exchangers, and when excessive, they increase the pressure drop (ΔP), create turbulence, and impede the flow of fluid. The characteristics of the welded plate heat exchanger are that the plate thickness is thin (1.0t) and the gap is narrow (5~10mm) to maximize the heat transfer surface, so it is difficult to push out sticky scale inside the heat transfer plate with ultra-high pressure cleaning (hydro-jetting), and hard scale blocks the groove and cannot be cleaned.
